"I cannot get through on the phonelines"
Recruiting more Receptionists and improving our phone line services to accomodate 15 people in the queue.
"I am struggling to get an urgent on the day appointment when needed"
We will be introducing total triage to Richmond Medical Centre on Wednesday 8th December. This means that you will be prompted to fill out an online questionnaire detailing your medical needs. This will then be triaged by our dedicated team, who will then make you an appropriate appointment. We feel this will fit the needs of our patients better, and lead to more accurate appointments being booked - those with an urgent need to see the Doctor or Nurse Practioner on the day will be triaged accordingly.
"I want a face to face appointment, not to speak to someone over the phone"
We have recently recruited two new Advanced Care Practitioners to Richmond Medical Centre, alongside new Pharmacist technicians and we will shortly be welcoming a new GP in the new year. This will help create more appointment availability and relieve pressure off our clinical team. We have opened up more appointments to be in the surgery, these appointments are offered to those who would not benefit from a telephone appointment and have a clinical need to be seen face to face.

However, we are aware that things can go wrong resulting in a patient feeling that they have a genuine cause for complaint. If this is so, we would wish for the matter to be settled as quickly, and as amicably, as possible.
